Undoubtedly, one of the most popular ways to harvest plums is marinating. Marinated plums have excellent taste properties. Due to this, they can not only play the role of a wonderful independent snack, but also serve as a garnish for many tasty dishes, giving them special and unique savory shades.
Despite the fact that there is a huge variety of plum marinade recipes, all of them have a common feature - in the process of cooking under the influence of acid, the development of microorganisms is completely suppressed. Very popular pickled, as well as salty plums in the country of the rising sun. The Japanese call it their traditional Umebosy dish. As Japanese scientists have found, in the composition of these small pink fruits there are special substances that are very effective in helping to fight the H1N1 virus.
Not less popular are pickled plums also among the inhabitants of Vietnam. And Caucasians use these fruits as a compulsory ingredient for Tclapi sauces and kettles, which are important constituents of the famous soup kharcho. The benefits of pickled plums are due to the high content of vitamins B, vitamin A, C, E, PP, beta-carotene, and also such minerals as magnesium, iron, sulfur, nickel, cobalt, sodium and some others.
How to cook marinated plums.
Tomatoes-cucumbers for the winter are for many included in the mandatory list of annual preserves. I propose to add here also marinated plums. Guests often take them for big olives. I always marinate only the variety of Ugork, its fruits differ in elongated shape, dense flesh and rich violet color. The taste in the plum turns out spicy and perfectly combined with any meat or fish dishes.
The recipe is calculated exactly on 10 half-liter jars, which should be washed out beforehand and treated twice with boiling water. Caps are sterilized for 10-15 minutes.
Plum does not require special training, it only needs to be washed well and take away too soft or damaged fruit. We do not remove kisses.
